Dr Ian Langford Appointed to Go8 Defence and Security Committee

Security & Defence PLuS proudly announces the appointment of Executive Director Dr Ian Langford to the esteemed Group of Eight (Go8) Defence and Security Committee.

The Go8 is a coalition of Australia’s leading research universities – the University of Melbourne, the Australian National University, the University of Sydney, the University of Queensland, the University of Western Australia, the University of Adelaide, Monash University and University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney.

The Go8 plays a pivotal role in influencing long-term sustainable national higher education and research policy and developing elite international alliances and research partnerships. The Go8 Defence and Security Committee exists to champion the national defence and security education and research objectives of the eight member universities.

Dr Ian Langford joins the Go8 Defence and Security Committee on behalf of Security & Defence PLuS. This affiliation presents Security & Defence PLuS with unique opportunities to contribute to policy development, engage in collaborative initiatives with other leading institutions, and shape the direction of cutting-edge research in the field.
