The Security & Defence PLuS AUKUS Briefing Book serves as an essential resource for the national security community and the public, offering insights into the AUKUS partnership and its various initiatives and lines of effort. The latest edition will reflect developments from mid-December 2023 through mid-April 2024. The launch event will consist of an introduction, an overview of the updates included in this edition, and a panel discussion on the current state of affairs concerning the AUKUS partnership, with distinguished speakers including: 
  • Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins, US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security
  • Professor John Blaxland, Director of the Australian National University North America Liaison Office and Professor of International Security and Intelligence Studies in the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre (SDSC)
  • Professor Alessio Patalano, Professor of War & Strategy in East Asia, King’s College London
  • Brig (R’td) Dr Ian Langford, Executive Director, Security & Defence PLuS (Moderator)
The event will close with an audience Q&A. A recording will be shared for those unable to make the live event. This will be the first of a series of online Security & Defence PLuS discussions, where we demonstrate the tripartite relationship of our alliance, with speakers from Australia, the UK and the USA.
