Defence asset management at a time of geopolitical uncertainty, climate change, and energy awareness is an emerging problem. Supply chains do not always take account of emerging technologies, digitisation and communication systems, making them prone to uncertainty, rare events, disruptions, and shocks. This event, hosted by King's College London
Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences seeks to understand the challenges and opportunities faced by security and defence stakeholders with regard to defence asset management, including supporting the UK and Australian capability to:
- design decision support systems for adapting to the changed global supply chain landscape to create effective efficient supply chains
- embed robustness into the designs of supply chains to make them less vulnerable to external hard-to-predict events and speed their recovery
- to use supply chains as a source of economic growth during crises.
Vice Admiral Andy Kyte CB FCILT will deliver a keynote speech and Paul Larcey from
Innovate UK will discuss the latest technologies emerging in security and defence.
