A new online self-paced short course from UNSW Canberra has been added to the Security & Defence PLuS portfolio of educational offerings: Chinese Politics and Strategy.
This course explores the relationship between Chinese domestic politics and its international strategy. It examines how internal political dynamics influence China’s strategic decisions on the global stage, moving beyond simplistic portrayals of strongman politics to uncover the intricate connections between governance and foreign policy.
This course is facilitated by Dr Jian Zhang, Associate Dean Education at UNSW Canberra at ADFA and Associate Professor in International and Political Studies in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences (HASS). Through foundational concepts, case studies, and expert analysis, learners will gain a deeper understanding of China’s political landscape and develop the skills to anticipate future trends in its political and strategic frameworks.
