This week, UNSW Canberra introduced two new online, self-paced short courses: Mission Engineering Integration and Strategic Foresight: Thinking About Security. These courses complement the existing Systems Thinking for a Complex World course, expanding the portfolio of offerings in this critical and dynamic field.
Facilitated by Travis Hunt and Dr Kumudu Amarawardhana, the Mission Engineering Integration course delves into the foundational concepts and frameworks related to mission engineering. This online course covers a range of topics including background on mission engineering and integration, defining the mission problem, mission characteristics, measures and metrics, architectures and how to optimise mission engineering.
The new Strategic Foresight course equips learners with a robust understanding of strategic foresight principles and the ability to anticipate, analyse, and respond to emerging security threats effectively. Facilitated by Dr Emiliya Suprun, the course is designed to be accessible to individuals with a basic understanding of mission engineering and security concepts.
These new online self-paced courses join our broader portfolio of Security & Defence PLuS educational offerings from our partner universities: Arizona State University, King’s College London, and UNSW. View the full list of short courses offerings on the Learn With Us page on our website.
