Chris (Chih-Hua) Tseng

Chris (Chih-Hua) Tseng is a Non-Resident Fellow for the Economic Security Program at the Research Institute for Democracy, Society and Emerging Technology (DSET), where he studies semiconductors, global value chains, export controls, and the development of emerging technologies. His work examines how international political economy and political sociology shape the governance of critical technologies and their global diffusion. Tseng is a PhD Candidate in sociology at the University of California, Irvine, and holds an MA and BA in sociology from National Taiwan University. He previously served as a summer associate at the RAND Corporation and as a legislative assistant at the Legislative Yuan in Taiwan, gaining experience in policy analysis and legislative processes.
