Steven Musholt

Steven Musholt is a Captain in the US Army and General Wayne. A. Downing Scholar studying for a Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2017 with a bachelors in Systems Engineering where he commissioned as an Infantry Officer. Musholt has served in multiple leadership positions from Platoon Leader to Company Commander within both conventional and special operations units. Musholt has combat deployments to Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan as well as an operational deployment to South Korea. His main research area involves defence innovation, specifically bridging the divide between private industry and defense. Musholt is also researching critical mineral trade relations in the Indo-Pacific between Australia and the United States.
